1.1. Can anyone access Smart ways to Antwerp?

As the city strongly believes in digital communication, Smart ways to Antwerp is accessible for as many Antwerpers as possible. The city has taken several initiatives, as part of its “e-inclusion” endeavour, to guarantee this accessibility. During the development phase, the city organised user tests with Antwerpers who had little to no digital experience for example.

1.2. Does Smart ways to Antwerp work on every device?

All of the website designs are developed for mobile devices. Every design starts from the logic and screens of smartphones and tablets, guaranteeing the readability and user-friendliness of the functionality.

1.3. Interaction

You can comment or ask questions on the Facebook page, the Instagram page, the Linkedin page and on Twitter.

Smart ways to Antwerp values your comments. Whether they are positive or negative, they all bear witness to your civic engagement. This is not a platform for political, offensive, sexist and discriminatory reactions however. Be polite. Adapt your tone of voice to the platform. Your comment or question will be removed if you do not adhere to these principles.

The editorial team can also publish your reaction on one of the other Smart ways to Antwerp channels.

1.4. Open data and copyright

The City of Antwerp owns all of the information, including the copyright to images and logos, that are provided on Smart ways to Antwerp. The City of Antwerp is responsible for the content of this website. It is not liable for any disruptions of a technical nature. 3.1. Principles

The City of Antwerp values the protection of your privacy. The privacy policy gives you an insight into how the city processes your data and/or uses the data for Smart ways to Antwerp.

Naturally the City of Antwerp makes every effort to protect your data as much as possible. The city does not share or provide your data to third party organisations or institutions.

3.2. Your personal information

The information you share and which is obtained from you is processed by the City of Antwerp, Grote Markt 1, 2000 Antwerp under the supervision of the city official for data protection (informatieveiligheid @stad.antwerpen.be). Your personal information will be exclusively used for sending mails about better access in and around Antwerp and smart travel advisories, that are tailored to your situation and wishes. You have consented to this data processing. You can withdraw this consent at any time. The City of Antwerp will store the data you provided for a term of 15 years. In accordance with REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC you have the right to consult and rectify your personal data. You can exercise these rights by contacting info@slimnaarantwerpen.be. You also have the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority, i.e., the Privacy Commission, if you feel that your data are incorrectly processed.

4. Use of cookies and pixels

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the user’s computer. They improve your user experience, by storing information about how users browse websites or to anonymously store your user preferences. They contain information such as the user’s language preference, so the user does not have to enter this information again next time he visits the website.
